about

The King of Nowhere is an album I've wanted to write since 2017, but it was in a constant state of shift, tonally and in terms of track list. There was a point where it was going to be a sprawling double album, but in the end I focused it down to the album that you see now.
There's no one theme to this album, but most of it surrounds ideas such as loneliness and my relationships with the people around me.
Many thanks to Robert Torok for the album cover - having a piece of visual art attached to the project as I was compiling it really helped me focus the track list down to the necessities.
2022 UPDATE: This album has been newly remastered to remove a poor production choice made back in 2019. In an attempt to make this album sound sourced from an old cassette tape, I produced this album with the muddiest bass you've ever heard. This has been dramatically reduced on this remaster, to much more palatable levels.
